Big News! The Safety First Journal is Becoming Small Business Safety Pro
Same practical tips, insights and industry trends, targeted for small business owners and managers
Hey there, welcome to this week’s edition of the Safety First Journal.
This week, I’m excited to announce some big changes with this newsletter.
When I first started the Safety First Journal, I wanted to provide a resource to make front line safety practical and relatable for safety professionals and managers.
Over the past few months, I’ve come to realize that the people who benefit most from this information aren’t safety professionals. They’re small business owners, managers and team leads who are not full time safety professionals, but who take on responsibilities for workplace safety as part of their regular job.
We’re still in the early days of this newsletter so I think the time is right to focus more on you as a reader and what I can specifically do to help.
As a result, I’m rebranding this newsletter as Small Business Safety Pro. You can expect the same helpful insights and information, just with a sharper focus on your challenges as a small business leader who’s managing safety without a dedicated team. The change isn’t just about a name, it’s about better serving you with tools, templates and weekly advice to make safety something you can manage, even with a packed schedule and dozens of other responsibilities.
If you’ve been following my regular LinkedIn posts, first of all, Thank you! It means a lot to me.
But with all the vagaries of the algorithm, LinkedIn doesn’t always show you every article I post. Social media is a whirlwind and if you miss a notification, it might be gone forever causing you to miss valuable insight that could really help in your business.
To make sure you never miss a post, I’d love for you to join the newsletter directly on Substack. You’ll get it straight to your inbox every Tuesday morning – and it’s free. You can sign up here: www.smallbusinesssafetypro.com
Here’ what you can expect as a subscriber:
· A weekly article focused on one common safety tip, mistake or myth.
· Templates and checklists you can put to work in your business.
· Occasional in-depth resources you can use out-of-the-box to level up your health and safety program, such as my Joint Health and Safety Committee Starter Kit (coming soon!).
Thanks to all of you for being part of this journey, I’m excited to continue helping make safety simpler, smarter and more manageable for you and your team.
Cheers,
Dan Moriarity
